A NYC Widow ReBuilds
Hey what's up hello!!!
So I'm back with another review for you all. And its gonna be a good one... so buckle up.
So I read and reviewed book one in The Central Park Park series by Lauren Layne maybe a month ago and fell in LOVE with Naomi and my Ollie boys love story. Feel free to visit a very long review down below. So when I saw that one of my bookstagram friends had received an ARC via Netgalley for Love on Lexington Avenue I had to reach out to the wonderful woman who gifted me the first book and beg for the ability to read this ARC and man... I am so beyond happy I did.
So this story centers around Claire the widow of the man responsible for the Central Park Pact. We see this woman change in a million ways through this book and deal with her deceased husband's death and betrayal but also grow to see her own value and have some pretty great sex along the way. Scott is a man who doesn't believe he can love again after his last serious romance as most men do in this stories but I love that he relates to Claire based on shared experiences as well as all the thought and love he puts into redoing her house and the small touches here and there through out the book that helps Claire heal.
I also really loved the way this book closed out with them still deciding to separate as they had always planned with no insanely massive fallout. It's so rare that characters in these books are able to break and it be civil and not horrible and for some reason I found that super refreshing!
This was an amazing second to its processor giving new life to old characters from the last book but giving us so much more for Claire and Scott. It was a wonderful love story that was so enjoyable. I gave it 4.5 stars for this amazing read!
These pages take me places and I can't wait to see where I go next!
See you all!
